Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our site and click on any items that you wish to buy and select ‘add to cart’. After you have finished your selection, click on “Go to checkout” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept all major cards and Paypal via a secure link to Sagepay. Shipping on larger and heavier items is currently limited to within the UK from the online site, if you are outside this area contact us on 01594 822202 or email us at email@example.com.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship, however, items that need to be back ordered require payment in full. You may send your credit card information via phone, Royal Mail or over the Internet. Please note, items that are not in stock and need to be back ordered may be subject to a price increase from the manufacturer. If this is the case you will be refunded and requested to order at the new price if you still require the part.
Shipping And Handling
We are closed on Mondays allowing us to maintain and update this site, and like any other small mail order company, we do not have a collection or telephone cover on Saturdays. Please bear this in mind when placing your order.
We select the most efficient delivery method depending upon the nature of products ordered. Small items that are lightweight are normally sent by Royal Mail. Larger or heavyweight items are sent by DPD courier. Many items will need a signature on delivery.
If your order value is under £20.00, we add £3.99 P&P (unless the item is heavy – oil etc.) and send it 1st class. P&P on orders from £20.00 – £99.99 are charged at £5.49. Orders over £100.00 are carriage free. (UK mainland only, exceptions apply).
These prices are subsidised by Haines & Co and apply to internet orders only. Telephone orders will cost more, and you will be advised at the time of your call.
Overseas Orders Shipped To Europe Only
We do not ship beyond Europe. We generally only ship small items to Europe. Orders to Europe that are larger than a small Jiffy bag or heavy items, will cost more than our website default charge, so please e-mail an accurate list of items for delivery first, so that we can get a cost for shipping and get back to you. Orders will be cancelled and refunded if insufficient carriage is paid. We can only ship batteries and fluids to U.K. Mainland addresses.
Orders are assembled (subject to stock availability) within 48 hours, delivery time depends upon bulk of package etc but would not normally be longer than 3-4 days. Priority is given to internet orders over telephone orders.
Missing Or Damaged Goods
We must be notified of damaged or missing items from a parcel by post or email withing 48 hours of receiving delivery.
Undelivered or Missing Orders
We send most orders via 1st class services requiring a signature. Customers must be prepared to wait up to 28 days if items are not delivered before we can refund or send replacement items.
Order items may be returned within 14 days of receipt providing the goods are clearly not used and in the original undamaged packaging. Correctly supplied items will not have the carriage refunded unless faulty. Please note that ALL electrical items (coils,switches,etc) can only be returned for credit as long as they are still in original supplied condition and the contacts/connectors show no sign of fitment.
Any items returned but with the packaging opened (unless faulty) may be subject to a 25% surcharge as we cannot re-sell the product as new.
If your item is not in stock, we can back order for you. However, we do require payment in full, and they cannot be cancelled. You will always be contacted with an approximate delivery date and the option to cancel before we back order and take payment. Please note, items that are not in stock and need to be back ordered may be subject to a price increase from the manufacturer. If this is the case, you will be refunded and requested to order at the new price if you still require the part.
Vat at the current rate is included in the price you see. Online ordering is currently limited to within the UK and small items to Europe.
Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All card payments are taken securely via Sagepay, with no card details being passed to us.
